STEVE McINTOSH - CEO,Originally from Prestwick, Scotland, Steve attended
The University of Strathclyde where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.
Following his university studies, Steve trained for his ACA (ICAEW) with KPMG in
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England and transferred to their Glasgow office after qualifying.
Steve cites the infamously "dreich" Glasgow weather as his main reason for moving
overseas.
In September 2001, Steve moved to Grand Cayman to work as an Audit Senior in KPMG's
Captive Insurance group and after one year was promoted to a management role within
the Alternative Investments practice. Steve left public practice in June 2003 to
join Cayman Management Ltd as the Financial Controller. Steve realised that there
was a gap in the market for an offshore recruitment agency for professionals, run
by professionals, and in July 2004 CML Offshore Recruitment opened its doors for
the first time.
Steve's first exposure to recruitment was during his early years at KPMG where he
was involved with their national graduate recruitment program. Although Steve now
spends most of his time managing the business, he still enjoys working with candidates,
"It's very rewarding to meet a candidate that I helped to relocate, have them thank
me and say that it was the best decision they ever made. It's great to feel that
we've had a positive impact on people's lives."
In addition to captaining the CML soccer team (the 2006 King's League Champions),
Steve is a member of Rotary Sunrise Grand Cayman and a Charter member of The Cayman
Angel Investor Network.
