I'm now settling in to the way of life here. I have joined a softball team - I hadn't played for about 15-20 years and it showed. The other teams have benefitted greatly from my erratic fielding style!

There are softball diamonds at the "Field of Dreams" in South Sound with a number of social leagues, as well as some more serious teams. There is a very wide range of sports to get involved with here, including rugby, football, cricket, gaelic football, squash, tennis and even a bi-annual dodgeball tournament.

I have now bought a car - I got a pretty good deal at a car dealer. They took care of organising insurance, licensing etc which was helpful.

I have done some more scuba diving. I haven't seen any sharks yet, but have seen a few turtles, tarpon, barracuda etc.

I moved into my house in Snug Harbour last week, where I'm sharing with an Aussie and a Canadian. I'd recommend house sharing when you're new to the island as you get to meet a lot of people that way. We also have a resident iguana (about 3 foot long - mostly in the tail) who will appear at the back door from time to time.
